Southern Asia Communication Advisory was held in Spicer Memorial College Pune from November 3-7. All the communication directors from Unions and Conferences and Sections were invited. This time G C Communication director wanted few able lay member who are good in computer to attend this meeting because few sessions were particularly for them. Unfortunately most of unions could not find delegates on for this group except two came from Karnataka. Thus we had good group of communication director’s present at the inaugural address by Dr. M C John the chairman of the management committee on third November evening at 7:00.
Four persons from General Conference including communication Director Rajmund Dabrowski attended these meeting. From fourth November onwards different session were held. T P Kurian presented SUD report of the past activities of the department and also briefed on the Strategies and plans for future Rajumnd Dabrowski dealt with:
Swot Analysis, Strategic thinking, Living in Isolation – Adventist Image and Crisis Communication. Garett Caldwell led out on the following topic: Responsibility of the communication director and media relations. Ansel Oliver inspired the delegates through News writing
John Bekett directed the attention to the topics of Adventist online and Introducing the net Adventist program. Edwin Charles brought the role Adventist Media Centre in SUD perspective and Edison Samraj presented role of the intra church publication in the Southern Asians (indegenious) writing. Meeting was ended with the Vesper meeting inspired by the message of the Garett Caldell on the topic “Mission Impossible” referring Peter’s walk on the water, Jesus made it possible. Many impossible things are possible through God. Divine service was addressed by Rajumund Debrowski on the topic of “I am compelled to share my hope.” Convincing people to share the great hope we have Christ Jsesus. He appealed to the community that His invitation of the desciples was the mission to share this hope and is extended to us to care for this.
